Second, a 5 bps fee paid by an RWA holder every time they redeem instantly, which stays in the vault. Blended, that is roughly 4.41% at 5% utilization: a safe lending yield plus about 60 bps for supplying immediacy.

Redeeming a tokenized real-world asset normally takes one to three days (five to eight days to unwind a leveraged loop). That breaks its use as collateral, because liquidators cannot exit fast, and makes looping impractical. Upshift Clear makes the exit instant and single-block, so holders can borrow against the asset at a reasonable LTV and unwind loops in one block.
